This is an opportunity to integrate an offline audience into an online one. It works like this: if a person scanned a code on their phone via the VKontakte app to subscribe to a community or send a message, you can add them to a separate user base and “catch up” with advertising. Codes can be placed on leaflets, banners, and pasted up at points of sale of your product.
Step 1. Generate a QR code

However, for retargeting you need to create a separate code in your advertising account.
Go to the section "Retargeting" - "QR code" - "New QR code". Then in the dialog box you need to enter the name and put a link to the resource where you will lead users. The system will take into account not only transitions, but also the fact of scanning in order to divide the audience.

Click "Create" and download the code. You need to save it and then print it out to place it at an offline point. Audience data will be protected and encrypted.

Step 2. Gather an audience
Users who scanned the code will now be automatically collected into an audience. For this to happen, you need to create one.
Go to the "Audiences" tab - "Create new" and check "By QR code". Set the name, select the desired code, set the rules, click "Create".
