New adaptive accessories from Microsoft

To achieve real and lasting change, HR and IT teams have come together to understand the needs of all their users and drive adoption and change management. Adapting and adopting new measures for greater accessibility and inclusivity, designing and creating all these tools, thus meeting Microsoft's objectives.

Their first statement of intent was to redesign their already well-known Microsoft Tech Lab, renaming it the Microsoft Inclusive Tech Lab . With this change, Microsoft's goals continue to seek learning and product development specifically for people with different types of disabilities.

Microsoft has designed new accessories in collaboration with groups of people with disabilities:

More accessible web experiences for everyone
To achieve a much more accessible and inclusive web experience, Microsoft has made changes to its browser, Microsoft Edge. These include the following:

Automatic image descriptions : Visually impaired people experience the web primarily through a screen reader. This reader is an assistive technology that reads the content of each page aloud. But a problem was detected in this technology, and that is, looking at the data, more than half of the images processed by screen readers do not have alternative text. As a solution, with the new feature, Microsoft Edge will provide automatically generated alternative text for images that do not have it.
