As you may have noticed, Pokémon Go is the latest trend. With their phones in hand, players are not only looking for these otherworldly creatures, but also for PokéStops and Gyms, places where players can gather. With Pokémon Go, players explore the streets in search of in-game items. For businesses, the phenomenon is also an opportunity to get new customers.
Here are some tips to increase your sales, taking advantage of the Pokémon Go wave.
Tip 1: Find out if there is a PokéStop near your business and announce it on social media.
While many video games keep you indoors, Pokémon Go does the business owner data opposite: players are invited to leave their homes. Many more people will pass by your storefront, especially if your store is located between two PokéStops, where players get their precious PokéBalls or Eggs. Unfortunately, controlling the locations of PokéStops is impossible, as they have been carefully distributed throughout the cities by the game's producers (Nintendo and the Pokémon company, Niantic). That said, there is a good chance that a PokéStop is near you, especially if you are close to the city center.
Lure for Pokemon Go
These days, there’s no better way to attract people to your store than with Pokemon Go. No, this is not a joke. You can place a “Lure” at the nearest PokéStop for $1.20/€1.20, which will give you 100 PokéCoins (or buy them in a group and get 8 Lures for 680 PokéCoins). This Lure turns the PokéStop into a Pokemon magnet for 30 minutes. And where there are Pokemon, there are Pokemon Go players.
Use a “Lure module” in the Pokémon Go app.
