Never underestimate the power of accountability

Post by jobaidur2228 »

In my book, and I’m sure in yours, taking a step forward is taking a step forward in responsibility and accountability. For example, every role I accept is a step forward in my book because each role brings new responsibilities that I didn’t have to think about in previous roles. This is great because I can continue to use my existing skills while learning new ones!

I find that I do my best work when I am responsible for a project. If something goes wrong, you are the one responsible for fixing it or taking responsibility for why it went wrong in the first place. If you are aware of this, you will be more focused on your work and achieve incredible success in marketing!

Just because a new role doesn’t come with the chance to lead a large team and earn a great salary doesn’t mean it’s not a step . Even if you want to stay at the same company, ask for more responsibility in your role. More often than not, your coworkers and superiors will be happy to give you more responsibility at work. Your performance reviews are a great time to point this out.

Work for Smart Marketers

Work For Smart Marketers
Here are two examples for you to analyze. You have two france telephone number data interviews for the same job, one with a marketer who seems to be going places. They are smart, passionate and very helpful in the interview. The other is with a mid-level marketing manager who thinks he deserves his salary and does acceptable work. Which person do you think gives you the best chance to advance in your career?

You chose the first one, right?

That’s exactly what you need to do in your marketing career. Of course, you should be passionate about the industry and seek out as many learning opportunities as possible. But if you’re doing all of this for a manager who doesn’t care, it really doesn’t make sense. But if you’re doing it with a marketer who loves your ideas, implements them as much as they can, and genuinely wants to help you achieve something in your role, it will benefit you in the short and long term!

I’ve worked with both types of managers in various marketing roles, and I can tell you with certainty that when you work with a manager who is as passionate about what you do as you are, you will progress much faster. You will feel more valued and excited to come to work every day! Working with someone who cares about what you do as much or more than you do is one of the best professional feelings in the world!

My advice is, if you are not working with someone who is passionate about their work, move on and work (or work with) someone who is!
