Bard is currently being offered to test users and undergoing a trial run to ensure the quality of the answers.

The trial is using a lightweight version of LaMDA, which has significantly less computational power, in order to get feedback from a larger number of users.

At the same time, internal testing is being conducted to verify the quality and fusion database stability of responses, as well as whether they are based on real-world information, to ensure that Bard's responses meet standards for quality, safety, and reliability.

Release Date
According to a blog post by Google CEO Sundar Pichai published on February 6, 2023, regarding the release date, Bard is scheduled to be made public in the next few weeks.

We've been working on an experimental conversational AI service, powered by LaMDA, that we're calling Bard. And today, we're taking another step forward by opening it up to trusted testers ahead of making it more widely available to the public in the coming weeks.
