Compose your email as you normally would.
Click the lock icon next to the recipient's email address to set the encryption level.
Modify the S/MIME settings by clicking View Details or select an encryption level to adjust the settings.
Note: Green indicates S/MIME encryption, which requires a private key to decrypt.

Grey means the email is protected by TLS. This uk phone number database free only works if both parties have TLS.

Turn on S/MIME encryption and follow the Office instructions for setting up encryption.
Encrypt or digitally sign all messages by going to the menu and selecting S/MIME Settings. You can choose whether to encrypt the content and attachments of all messages, or to digitally sign all sent messages.
Encrypt or delete the selected message by clicking More options at the top and selecting Message Options. Check or uncheck the Encrypt this message (S/MIME) checkbox. If your email recipients do not have S/MIME enabled, you should uncheck the checkbox or they will not be able to read your messages.
