Don't forget internal linking

Post by arzina566 »

1. Plan well ahead
As you know, SEO can take a very long time. This is something we need to take into account if you want to rank for these keywords in time.

So start implementing the right optimizations well in advance. If collaboration with others is needed, make sure everyone is aware of this and understands why this needs to be on the agenda now.

Using a campaign calendar can help you enormously with this.

2. Use evergreen URLs
Google determines authority at the URL level. This means that the authority you build is tied to a fixed URL. Therefore, always use a so-called evergreen URL, or the same URL every time.

For example, if you create a new url every year (e.g. /black-friday-2020/) then it has to build authority from 0, and that takes a lot of time and effort. So don't waste your time and energy from the past!

3. Adapt your content
Once you start using evergreen URLs, it is tempting to say that the content is still good enough. Especially if there is a higher frequency of seasonal effect (for example 4x per year)… Then you are never really finished with optimizing, and that can become annoying. Keep responding to the relevant season every time.

It can be quite painful if your tire change page still suggests putting your winter tires on your car in March. Research your competitors, respond to current events, monitor discussions and trends on social, and always keep optimizing (as it should be in SEO).

Even if you use an evergreen url, adjust the content, and get everything done on time, it still may not be enough. So don't forget your internal linking . If it's an important page on a competitive term, you're going to need it.

What happens a lot is that such pages get a malaysia telegram data prominent position on the homepages, the main menu, and in the CTAs for a while. However, that is not going to happen 3 months in advance. You can't rely on that, and make sure that this page has the necessary links much earlier.

Seasonal SEO summarized
As an SEO, you never really have time to relax. There is no such thing as a slow period. You need to be ready for the next important seasonal keywords.

So make sure that you:

know which keywords are experiencing a seasonal effect.
have insight into when this is happening, and when you need to be ready.
Finish optimizations well in advance to give Google time to pick them up.
Get to work! You're already 2 months behind!

Do you have any further ideas on how to optimize for keywords with a seasonal effect? Or any questions on how to unlock the data? Then leave a mess.
