Recommendations for delivering your items for emailing, particularly to maximize display compatibility. All of the recommendations below are intended to: Limit spam, ensure good deliverability, Ensure optimal compatibility across all email boxes, Ensure compatibility with applications allowing the sending of campaigns. 1. THE ESSENTIALS Max width of creations => 600 px. Recommended maximum length of approximately => 1000 px (the idea is not to reveal everything in the email -> to tease. In addition, the 1000 px represent a little more than the waterline so it is relevant). No CSS or style sheets in the code, instead integrate all styles into the heart of the document on each HTML tag using the style=”…” attribute (“inline” style). HTML tags/attributes not to use (because they are not compatible with all webmails): Rowspan and colspan.
Tbody, HTML comments, DIV tags. Do not use the letters "script" in an image URL (blocked by Free), description.jpg for example. No "ID" or "name" attributes. Remember to close the HTML tag at the end of the email. Use only tables to structure your emails (texts and images). For campaigns without text => 3 Images minimum (note that each image corresponds to a redirection URL. So if you have several redirection URLs, be careful when cutting the creative). Use an appropriate encoding, such as UTF 8. Background images should be excluded from your email as they are not displayed in some email clients, particularly Outlook 2007. Do not use links to IP addresses, these are often used by spammers, prefer the use of domain names. Avoid 'font size=+1' because it is not a fixed size, it will be different depending on the settings of the messaging or the positions of your recipients.
For example, prefer 'span style=font-size :10px'. Fonts/sizes/colors must also be defined in TDs containing text (in addition to the usual "font" tags). This is to maximize compatibility with the display of "large" fonts under Windows. 2. RECOMMENDATIONS Beware of spam words: casino, game, free, sex… Put a meaningful pre-header sentence for the snippet display (and not "if you can't see..." first). Working on emails with short paragraphs makes them easier to read. Highlight keywords and action buttons (bold, bright colors, sufficient contrast, etc.). Respect the image text ratio of 40/60. Make the mirror page link and unsubscribe link cambodia phone number data clearly visible (mandatory). Encode special characters. The cell size should be filled in the TDs as shown above, and ideally the image tags should contain the attributes border= »0″ style= »display:block » height=… width=… Fill in the “alt” tags of your images with relevant and catchy texts , to encourage your targets to download the images in the event of blocking by certain messaging services (Outlook 2007, Hotmail, etc.)
Put a “title” attribute in all the “href” (by repeating the content of the alt tag). Write tags in lowercase. Set the size of images in the HTML (in cells) and use 'background colors' in tables and cells to increase the attractiveness of your message. Be careful not to have a background color that is too close to the color of the text. Prefer images of less than 70kb and of type jpg. Avoid using standard shades of some colors offered by default, such as shades '#ff0000' for red and '#0000ff' for blue for your links and texts. Your fonts should be smaller than 25px. Avoid using 'mailto' (no statistics + Outlook opens by default on Windows). For all links add a target= “_blank”. Does this seem complicated to you?
