DLP policy restricts access to semantic models (preview)
This month, Power BI received a major update to data security and management with the introduction of Fabric Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies. These policies, now available in preview, allow Purview administrators to exercise more granular control over access to semantic models based on the detection of sensitive information.
With this new capability, compliance administrators can configure DLP policies that automatically restrict access when sensitive data is identified. This includes the ability to block access for guest users denmark telegram data or limit access to only data administrators. Additionally, data administrators will be notified when their data is restricted, allowing them to take actions such as reporting issues or overriding policies if necessary.
For data consumers, this update means they will receive alerts when their access rights are revoked due to organizational policies, ensuring they understand the restrictions and the reasons behind them. In short, these enhancements provide compliance administrators with a powerful tool to protect sensitive information and ensure only authorized personnel can access it.
