The Country with the Best Salespeople in the World
Best Salesmen in the World
Productivity
Have you ever wondered where the best salespeople in the world are from?
With clients in over 140 countries, and over 85,000 users, we began to ask ourselves:
What is sales work like around the world and where are the best sales executives?
We set ourselves the goal of finding out which country has the best sales closers in the world.
When talking about sales we cannot be carried away by stereotypes. A clear example of this is that, despite what most of us think, Mexicans are not the best at closing deals.
We analyzed data generated by all Pipedrive overseas chinese in worldwide data users around the world anonymously on the number of deals generated, deals closed, conversion rates, sales lifecycle, etc. All of this in order to discover how sales statistics change around the world.
In this way, we were able to get a broader view of the differences in the most important metrics within the sales cycle.
Do you want to know what we discovered with all this?
The best deal closers in the world are South Africans , but the story doesn't end there.
Conversion rates are one of the best indicators to measure sales skills .
We can have the best sales strategy on the market, but if we are not converting our prospects into customers, we are doing something wrong.
With these indicators we realized that the finalists worldwide with respect to sales are:
South Africa is first, followed by Brazil, Chile, Denmark and Sweden – a surprising combination of fast-growing emerging economies.
Now where are the worst closers based on their conversion rate? Switzerland, Poland, Canada, Russia and… the United States.
That's right, the Americans who invented sales as we know it today are at the bottom of the conversion rate list.
Could be?
Numbers and data never lie. To understand what is happening, we decided to see if the trends would be the same by analyzing the sales results under different metrics.
