Marketing for gyms in the digital age
There are hundreds of ways you can market your gym, especially in the digital world we live in now. When it comes to digital marketing for gyms, there are a ton of fun strategies and engaging campaigns you could run.
Using digital marketing, you could target and promote your gym to your ideal audience where they spend most of their time. You can promote your gym offers directly to their phones, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, email, etc.
Reaching your ideal audience has never been easier, but you need to know what to market once you get in front of them. Just like when you work out, there has to be a goal. Are you looking to increase the number of clients, increase brand awareness, create ambassadors from your current customers?
Having a goal also helps you narrow your focus. The difficulty is not in getting in front of your christian churches email list audience but in getting their attention. You need to make sure that your “offer” is something that your target finds interesting.
You wouldn't sell the same thing to your current clients as you would to non-current clients. You wouldn't offer a weight loss program to someone trying to gain strength.
So I ask you the same question. How are you going to attract your ideal audience's attention to the gym? Are you going to get them into your gym with a discount or maybe you'll lure them in with a freebie? What's the one thing they couldn't help but click on?
For example, I am currently part of a fitness center and have no plans to go to any other gym. I am a relatively new client, and I have been working very hard to get the movements in the exercises correct. A creative way to get my attention would be to improve and refine my fitness goal.
I bet there are plenty of clients who would love to perfect their moves and would happily sign up for more one-on-one training sessions. Remember, you can upsell existing clients to keep them happy, get them to buy more, and get them to become your gym advocates.
Knowing what would and wouldn't work for your gym has a lot to do with the type of gym you own. Promotions for a fitness center are completely different from those for a bar.
