Fortinet has released a report on the cyber threat landscape as of mid- 2018.
The report is based on research conducted by lithuania whatsapp data Labs using information from millions of network devices, network security tools, and specialized sensors that they have access to in network infrastructure around the world. The report also uses data from the Cyber Threat Alliance, co-founded by Fortinet. It should be noted that, according to IDC, as of April 2017, Fortinet had the most extensive cyber threat data in the world.
Table 1 allows us to present the landscape of applications scanned by researchers and used in various industry verticals of corporate users. It should be noted that it shows the average (median) numbers of applications used for each of the industries studied.
In the presented report, the researchers focused on such aspects of cyber attacks as the use of exploits, malware and botnets.
