What types of texts can I send and when should I send them?
As I stated before, SMS works best when sent to someone who is currently in your club.
1. The welcome message
One way to welcome players to your club is to send a welcome message to everyone who arrives to play their game. The text can be sent about 15 minutes before their game starts. The content itself can be used to promote your offers or just to say hello, it's up to you.
2. The invitation for the 19th hole
Golfers spend 2-5 hours at your facility, and chances are many teacher data of them are hungry. Text players who finish their round to promote a drink special or your new menu.
3. How was your experience?
Do you know what your customers think about your club? Are you ready to find out? SMS can be easily set up to offer an online customer satisfaction survey. Simply asking for a response with a rating from 1 to 10 on their experience goes a long way.
It's extremely beneficial to understand what you did well and what you can improve, and SMS can help you harvest solutions.
4. Invitation to an event
These messages can be tricky to use, you don't want to bombard your entire list with event invitations.
However, you can notify players who are on your course about an upcoming event. If you choose to send a message to people who are not on your property, make sure the list is segmented, so only people who might be interested receive the information. For example, you could send a text message to participants of a past tournament.
5. Announcement of new products
Again, don’t send a mass message to your entire database announcing that you have the new TaylorMade M6s in stock. Instead, attach your announcement to messages you’re already sending. Additionally, you can send a promo code to use in your pro shop. You can then measure the impact of your text messages by observing the number of times the promo code is used.
Here are nine types of text messages you should be sending.
