Detailed migration steps

Moving LINE to a new device is easy. Just follow these steps:

Install LINE on a new device
Open LINE on your old device.
Go to Settings > Backup & transfer.
Create QR code on old device
Scan QR code with new device
Confirm the transfer on both devices
Wait for the transfer data to be completed.
Verify account on new device

This method has two main steps: prepare and then do it.

On the old device, go to LINE settings portugal mobile database select Create QR code for easy data transfer. On the new device, install LINE, select “Log in with QR code” and scan the code seen on the old device. It’s that easy, right?

Prepare old equipment
Let's prepare the old equipment first. Follow these 3 steps:

Open the LINE app on your old device.
Go to Settings > Backup & transfer.
Select QR code for easy data transfer
Keep the screen open to see the QR code clearly.
Don't forget to check that your internet is stable and your battery is fully charged. Also, make sure that you are logged in to your LINE account and have updated it to the latest version.

Reset the device
Now that we have prepared the old device, let's set up LINE on the new device.

First, download the LINE app on your new device. When you open the app, select “Log in” and then “Log in with QR code”. Then select “Scan QR code” and scan the QR code on your old device with your new device.

Scan and transfer
Once you have your new device set up, you can scan the QR code you see on your old device. That’s it! The data transfer will start. Make sure both devices are connected to the internet at all times.
