Do you really want to spend your weekend trying to stop a hacker or a DDoS attack? And do you know how to do it? That's why, unless you have deep technical knowledge when it comes to security, it's only a matter of time before you run into a serious security issue that will have you on the ropes.
If you choose managed WordPress, database, and application hosting like Kinsta, we take care of all of this for you. Here are some security features we offer on all of our hosting plans:
Kinsta detects DDoS attacks, monitors uptime , and automatically bans IPs that have had 6 failed login attempts in one minute.
Only encrypted SFTP and SSH connections (not FTP) are supported when accessing your WordPress site directly (here's the difference between FTP and SFTP ).
Hardware firewall, along with additional active and cameroon phone number data passive security measures to prevent access to your data.
We hide the version of WordPress and PHP that is being used by front-end requests. Our open_basedir restrictions also do not allow PHP to run in common directories that are prone to malicious scripts.
Kinsta uses Linux Containers (LXC) on top of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) which provides complete isolation not only for each account, but for separate sites. This is a much more secure method than other competitors offer. GCP also employs data encryption at rest.
