Google vs. ChatGPT: Is a new era of search coming?

Post by samiaseo55 »

The so-called ChatGPT chatbot, launched by Open AI in the fall of 2022, has achieved in two years what Google's competitors have failed to do in two decades: become a real rival and challenge for the global internet giant.

According to the latest studies, a growing percentage of people are turning to it for searches instead of using one of the traditional search engines. This is evidenced by the fact that ChatGPT's traffic recently surpassed Bing in total volumes and its referral traffic has increased by triple digits.

In-depth exploration of the Dialog platform
According to Google, ChatGPT is not affecting its business owner data search volumes or reducing its market share. This may be due to the small scale and impact of AI, which cannot yet be reliably registered. If so, how much longer can Google survive?

While previous consumer surveys have focused on assessing the quality of search engines and the (non)acceptance of artificial intelligence among users, Dialog's study goes deeper and examines whether artificial intelligence is changing people's attitudes towards Google and influencing the way they search.

Questions that respondents (US residents) answered:
Is it easier or more difficult to find what you're looking for on Google than it was three years ago?
What is your favorite AI tool, and how often do you use it?
What do you like about artificial intelligence?
Are AI tools and traditional search engines the same or different?
Has your use of Google changed with the introduction of AI?
Do you have a better user experience with artificial intelligence or with classic search?
Choose just one of the options right now (Search vs. AI). Which one is it?
Will traditional search engines be replaced by AI tools within three years?
