67% of the people who have tweeted about #LaManada live in Spain, but the decision by the Provincial Court of Navarre has transcended our borders and has also generated rejection in other countries. Greece accounts for 6.13% of Twitter users, followed by the Netherlands (5.63%), Denmark (3.03%), the United States (2.30%), the United Kingdom (1.92%), Argentina (1.24%), and France (1.16%). Curiously, our neighboring countries are where the lowest level of activity has been observed.
Involvement of numerous cities
Barcelona (with 6.57%) and Madrid (with 4.98%) were the cities where the most people participated by posting messages on Twitter (these are also the cities
with the largest Twitter population in Spain). But the phone number list wide dispersion between locations shows that the outrage was widespread: from Seville to Valencia, Bilbao, Granada, Pamplona, Malaga, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, A Coruña, and more.
Young people, the most active
The rejection has had a strong impact on the younger population: almost 39% are between 18 and 24 years old, and 28% are between 25 and 35. It is noteworthy that almost 11% of the people who have tweeted about La Manada are between 13 and 17 years old (despite the fact that this segment only accounts for 7.4% of the “Twitter population” in Spain). Due to the age range, the majority (14.44%) are single , 9% are “in a relationship,” and only 2.22% are married. The terms “life” (3.80% of cases) and “feminist” (2.13%) top the ranking of most used words in their biographies.
