Except they're not mountains, Cooper notes: they're giiiiiiiig waves coming at them!

Yes, there's 20 centimeters of water on the planet and everything else in the waves. , or a big drinking party at the writers' house.

“Dr. Brand, come back, quickly!”
– Nooo, I want the beacon! It's got the black box! Look, Dr. Miller's ship is all dislocated, I want to understand!
– Dr. Brand, hurry up! Dr. Barbe is already at the back of the ship, ready to leave, and industry email list the big wave is getting closer!
– Haaan, I fell!
– Damn, Dr. Brand!
– Haaan, I'm stuck! I'm a girl, hee hee, I'm clumsy!
– Dr. Brand, you're a real pain in the neck! Quick, TARS, go save her!

But hey, it's a U-key... wait... TARS transforms into some kind of big wheel that goes full throttle? And picks up Dr. Cooper without a hitch before speeding back to the ship with it?

Can someone explain to me, knowing that every second was precious, why they didn't send the ultra-fast robot directly to manage the situation, like going down to the planet (because yes, robots pilot too, you have to know that) and recovering everything in two-two? Yeah, no. Saving Humanity, yes, but that comes after doing cool things like going down yourself and risking your life for no reason.

Meanwhile, the big wave arrives just as TARS and Dr. Brand are getting back into the shuttle. As for Dr. Barbe, who stayed outside... what? Wait, he was at the back of the ship! How could he not have made it back in time? And why would he have gotten back in after Dr. Brand, knowing that it was useless (even holding the door: last I heard, it closes and opens from the inside too)?

Cooper and Dr. Brand are suspicious: Dr. Barbe has just disappeared into a plot hole. From now on, they'll have to be very careful where they step.
Well, you know what? Who cares! Dr. Barbe is stupidly outside and is therefore swept away by the wave, a wave that also lifts the ship and allows our heroes to surf with their shuttle (sic). Somehow, the small crew manages to escape the nasty wave and the shuttle falls back onto the surface of the planet where it stabilizes. Except that: the wave has flooded the engines. We'll have to wait 45 minutes for them to dry! Cooper is very angry and therefore gives Dr. Brand the cold shoulder.
