The poster: flames, a villain in a big coat dressed all in black, and something based on "Our World"; we can already feel the Oscar coming.
It all begins in the middle of a majestic forest of trees with glowing red leaves, as a population of wild humanoids frolics among the trunks. No, this isn't Canada, contrary to what the description might suggest: it's Gloubitz-8, a distant planet where strange events are taking place. Indeed, we find Captain Kirk and his faithful ship's doctor, the famous McCoy, busy frolicking while trying not to get their skin pierced by the local natives who throw all sorts of more or less lethal weapons at them, from spears to arrows to the printed iTunes terms of use. Why this animosity? It's quite simple: Kirk had the bright idea of stealing a local sacred papyrus to force the natives to chase him, in order to lure them away from a volcano currently erupting next to their village. And at the same time, a shuttle from the USS Enterprise, the buy bulk sms service ship commanded by our hero, is having fun flying over the volcano in order to drop a Mr. Spock in a special suit so that he can go to the heart of the crater and detonate a cold fusion bomb to stop the eruption in its tracks, and thus save the natives. Do you smell that? Yes: it smells like a clever plan.
To put it simply: Kirk manages to lure the natives far enough away as planned, then jumps off a cliff with his buddy Mc Coy to dive down and join the Enterprise, cleverly hidden under the nearby ocean (but 50 meters from the coast: it must have been pretty deep around here, mind you). From there, he learns that this big idiot Spock is stuck at the bottom of the volcano following various malfunctions of the shuttle that was supposed to drop him, and that given the disturbances linked to the volcano, it will only be possible to beam him safely on board before the bomb explodes if he has a good visual on him, namely, by placing the Enterprise above the volcano.
Now, the Federation,, has as its prime directive to NEVER interfere with or be seen by the primitive civilizations it observes.
" Let me die! " Spock shouts into his little microphone. " If you come looking for me, the natives will see our ship, and we'll be breaking the rules, and I don't want to do that, ever!"
But since it's not Kirk's style to let his buddies die, under the astonished eyes of the natives, the USS Enterprise emerges from the waves in front of them, then flies over the volcano to better teleport Spock (at the last moment for those who doubt it), while the cold fusion bomb explodes and stops the eruption dead in its tracks, saving the local population, convinced they have seen a ship of the gods. So it is on this beautiful victory that the Enterprise flies off to the stars for other adventures! Shh, don't say anything: we'll talk about it again.
