On June 17, the Official State Gazette published a resolution enabling new number ranges for receiving SMS without additional charges. This means, to quote the text, providing short text message and multimedia message services not subject to additional charges.
The ranges that have been defined, of six figures , are the following:
205xxx: Free for the user sending the message.
207xxx: Free for the user sending the message
215xxx: Maximum cost: the same as a regular text message (€0.15)
217xxx: Maximum cost: ordinary text message (€0.15)
Response messages sent by the service operator to the user will be croatia phone number data free of charge, but it has not been specified whether such a response will be mandatory for the service operator.
The assignment of these numbers to service operators will be carried out by the National Telecommunications Market Commission, upon request, by September 17. Thereafter, there will be a nine-month period to replace the numbers, from the date of the assignment, although deferrals may be requested in certain cases.
The number ranges beginning with 215 and 217 replace the old short numbers for Premium services with a rate of €0.15 + VAT, while the ranges 205 and 207 will replace some free services offered by certain operators.
