Fear of scaring off a prospect often leads to avoiding the budget question. However, this is one of the most critical qualifiers. Discovering a major budget misalignment after a site visit and hours of estimating is a huge waste of time. Introduce the budget question tactfully but directly once you have a basic understanding of their needs.
Skipping or Misinterpreting the "Authority" Question:
Assuming the person you're speaking with is the sole whatsapp number list decision-maker can lead to problems. If other key stakeholders aren't involved early, they can derail the project later with new demands or objections. Gently but clearly ascertain who needs to be involved in decisions.
Making Assumptions:
Don't assume you know what the prospect wants or needs based on a brief description or past experiences with similar projects. Every client and project is unique. Ask open-ended questions and let them articulate their specific situation and desires.
