Importing Your First Database: A Step-by-Step Guide

Post by suchonak.a.n.iz »

Prepare Your Database: Before you start the import process, make sure your database is clean and organized. Remove any duplicate entries, update outdated information, and ensure your data is formatted correctly for HubSpot.
Access the Import Tool: In your HubSpot account, navigate to the Contacts section and click on "Import." This will open the import tool, where you can begin the process of importing your database.

Choose Your File: Select the file that contains your database data. HubSpot supports various file formats, including CSV, XLS, and XLSX. Make sure your file is formatted correctly before proceeding.

Mapping Data Fields: Next, you'll need to map the data fields in your file to the corresponding fields in HubSpot. This ensures that your data is imported accurately and without any errors. HubSpot provides a Shop mapping tool to help simplify this process.
Review & Confirm: Once you've mapped your data fields, take a moment to review the import settings and make any necessary adjustments. Double-check that everything is set up correctly before confirming the import.

Import Your Data: Click the "Import" button to begin importing your database into HubSpot. Depending on the size of your database, this process may take some time. Once the import is complete, you'll receive a notification confirming the success of the import.
