The relationship between Kaliop Group and Ibexa dates back almost two decades, and in that time the agency has built over 100 multi-site platforms using Ibexa technology. The group is based in Montpellier, but most of its experience with Ibexa is now developed in its Polish subsidiary in Słupsk, near Gdańsk. Increasingly, the centre of gravity of its Ibexa-related commercial initiatives will also shift to Kaliop Poland.
Kaliop is our partner of iranian whatsapp the month for February.
Kaliop Poland's CTO is Piotr Karaś . He leads a large team of developers, 10 of whom are active Ibexa experts. "Many have recently been recertified," Karaś adds, "and others are on their way to Ibexa recertification."
“Although Kaliop focuses on modular web architectures, there are always a number of projects for which turnkey solutions, such as Digital Experience Platform software, are a better fit. Among them, Ibexa DXP is the company’s first choice,” says Karaś. He adds that the main advantage of Ibexa is that it has the strengths of a monolithic platform, but overcomes many of its weaknesses.
“Many monolithic systems are a pain to integrate, but Ibexa DXP is built on Symfony, which gives it complete extensibility and integrates elegantly with other core systems or third-party functionality.” Another key advantage is that Ibexa implementations typically have a very competitive time to market, especially when it comes to content-related projects.
“Ibexa’s content model is one of a kind,” says Karaś. “And when I say content, I mean Ibexa’s tree structure, translations, permissions, how relationships are organized, and so on. We know it inside and out and can make it shine for our customers, providing them with extremely well-organized, secure, intuitive, maintainable, and long-lasting content architectures.”
Ibexa's workload at Kaliop Poland is a mix of local clients, such as UNICEF and Mazars, the international audit, tax and advisory firm, and projects originating at the group's headquarters in France. The most important is the French manufacturer, Essilor .
Although it is the world’s largest producer of ophthalmic lenses, Essilor is not a household name for the millions of people who use its products. Kaliop refocused the sites for its European markets towards a B2C2B marketing channel on Ibexa DXP. To do so, it created a customer journey that educates the end user on the many types of Essilor products available and gamifies their lens choice, which they can then share with the opticians who are part of Essilor’s distribution network and their actual customers.
