As shown in Google’s diagram, Googlebot places pages in a queue for crawling and rendering. Googlebot takes a URL from the crawl queue and reads the robots.txt file to see if the URL is allowed.
From there, Googlebot parses the HTML response to the bahamas phone number library other URL and adds it to the crawl queue. When Googlebot’s resources allow it, a Chromium renders the page and runs JavaScript. The rendered HTML is then used to index the page.
Because Google runs two separate waves of indexing, it’s possible for some details to be overlooked during the indexing process. For example, if you’re not generating important title tags and meta descriptions server-side, Google may miss it the second time around, which could have negative impacts on your organic visibility in the SERPs.
Crawling and indexing are two different things that can be confused in the SEO industry. Crawling is associated with a search engine bot like Googlebot, discovering and analyzing all the content or code on a web page. Indexing, on the other hand, means that the page has a higher probability of appearing on the Search Engine Results Page (SERPs).
Despite bots improving crawling and indexing, JavaScript is making this process much less efficient and more expensive. JavaScript’s built-in content and links require a tremendous amount of effort for crawlers to render entire web pages. These search engines will crawl and index pages generated by JavaScript, but this will likely take longer than a static page due to the back and forth between the crawler and the indexer. Rather than allowing Googlebot to index the page by downloading and extracting links from HTML and CSS files, JavaScript adds an extra step. The overall JavaScript rendering process is much more complex.
