This wisdom was unknown to Spotify when the company began developing a music recommendation algorithm more than a decade ago. The idea was that Discover Weekly would be a personalized list of 30 songs that would appear on the screens of millions of users.

In the original version of Discover Weekly, the playlists were songs that the user had never listened to before. If you paid attention to the earlier paragraphs of this article, you can probably guess what happened: the interaction with the playlist was not as high as it could have been if the playlist also included songs that the listener already knew .
Luckily for Spotify, they were put on the right track by a glitch in the system. Due to a bug , listeners at one point did get a few songs they had already listened to in their Discover Weekly. What did Spotify see? Discover Weekly was suddenly clicked on a lot more often!
The lesson is clear: consumers want new experiences, but they have to be recognizable.
Lesson 4: 'Never talk negatively about your own laos telegram data product or service'
Through all the above mistakes we come back to Gerald Ratner , the jeweler who destroyed his own empire with simple jokes.
Until 1991, there was not a cloud in the sky. Ratners Group grew and prospered. The company reaped immense business success with their innovative approach to offering jewelry and jewellery at an affordable price.
Because of his successes, Ratner was regularly invited to speak at events. And so it was on that fateful April 23. Ratner was asked to give a speech at the annual convention of the business organization 'Institute of Directors'. A consultant had whispered in his ear to include a few jokes in his speech, because people like jokes. The consultant should have also mentioned which jokes Ratner should avoid!
Ratner talked about the quality of his products and his distinctive business concept of affordable jewelry. But after a few minutes the first joke came when Ratner said: 'My company does not stand for prosperity, and if you think about it, it has little to do with quality.'
