Information flow 4: teams, interests and functions

Post by arzina221 »

The employee is central
The employee is still placed in a 'box' by the organization in the above image. A social intranet gives employees the opportunity to also connect with each other. This is not facilitated by the organizational structure.

There are a number of other ways employees connect with each other. Employees:

sit in changing (project) teams. Within these, information must be exchanged in order to work together on the project.
have the same interests. Perhaps some colleagues would like to go for a bike ride together during lunch.
have the same function. It can be very useful to discuss the latest trends and developments with all marketing departments.

Relevant?
In total, there are a large number of information flows within the organization. Not all information is equally relevant for every user. This is therefore important for the design of a social intranet .

Let's get started!
You can apply the model to your own italy phone data organization, no matter how big or small your organization is. In this way, you provide clarity in the various information flows. You can thus clearly indicate which information should be shared where and do not have to leave this to the user.

An example
Many of us will be familiar with the possibility of posting messages on a social intranet. When a message is relevant, it will be read. To ensure that a message has increased relevance, the sender can determine in advance who the message is intended for. When creating the message, a choice can be made between the above-mentioned streams. Employees will then only see the messages that are relevant in the message stream.
