That's how bounce rate works .

How can SEOs and marketers filter pages on sites to identify high vs. low quality?
As a marketer, as an SEO, there's a process that we can use. We don't have access to every single one of these components that Google can measure, but we can look at some things that will help us determine if it's high quality, if it's low quality, maybe I should try to delete or remove it from my site or rebuild it if it's low quality.

In general, I'm going to urge you not to use things like:

Why not? Because in and of themselves, all of these can be misleading indicators.

So there might be a long time on your website costa rica number data someone is too busy with your content. It could also be because someone is extremely frustrated and can't find what they need. So they'll go back to the search results and click on something else that will answer their question in a more immediately accessible way. Maybe you have a lot of pop-ups and they have to click on them and the X button is hard to find and they have to scroll all the way down in your content. So they're very unhappy with your results.

If you're answering a very simple question or the next step is to go somewhere else or if there's no next step, a high bounce rate can be a good thing. If I'm just trying to get, "Hey, I need some pressure washing tips for this type of treated wood, and I need to know if I'm going to remove the treatment if I wash the wood at this level of pressure," and it turns out no, I'm fine. Great thanks, I'm done. I don't need to go to your website anymore. My bounce rate was very, very high. You might have a bounce rate percentage in the 80s or 90s, but you answered the searcher's question. You did what Google wants. So the bounce rate itself, bad metric.
